[Opinions] Delphina vs Lyriana
Hi! I want to change my name, for personal reasons, and my favorite names by now are Delphina and Lyrianna. I would like to know your perception of these names (what you associate them with, what type of person you think would bear each of these names, and what qualities that person has). I would describe myself as a gentle, elegant, intellectual, cute, sexy, dreamy, and creative girl. I'm passionate about mythology and art. I love to imagine how it would be to be a princess in a fantasy kingdom. My favorite music genre is epic music. I want to note that I'm very sensual and cute at the same time.
Thank you in advance for your answers!
P.S. I would appreciate it if you have other suggestions than the names I already listed!Edit1: I changed it from Lyrianna to Lyriana after several people recommended it as a better alternative. I agree, it looks prettier! Thank you!Edit2: Hi! I want to thank everyone for their answers! They are all very useful!

Both names make me think of mythology and art, fantasy, creativity, history, whimsy, etc. They're both elegant and... well, I don't know how to put this but I think you'd have to be attractive and generally well-dressed to pull off either of these names. They both have a "princess" vibe. But they also have some more "regular person" sounding nicknames if you end up in a phase of life where you want to use something more understated. Delphi or Lyra for 'shorter but still stands out' and Della or Anna/Ana for 'I want to blend in today / I want to sound like an average joe'. Lyrianna is pretty good but I'd prefer Lyriana. Also, it's harder for people to spell. This one makes me think of music (associations with "lyric" and "lyre") and also dancing. Delphina is nice, and it might age better. It feels a little deeper and more solid and has clear mythological associations. Most people will know how to spell it, even if you have to say "like dolphin with an e instead of an o, then put an a on the end." My choices would be:
1. Lyriana (I know I added an option, but I think this is the prettiest)
2. Delphina (More familiar, ages well, deeper historical tones)
3. Lyrianna (but I don't really like it with two n's)

Delphina is beautiful and timeless, with lots of history and substance. It’s fancy and a bit cerebral, but not super pretentious. Lyrianna is very much “this name was chosen by a teenager who’s really into trashy fantasy novels”. I think you’d find yourself wanting to dial this one back in a few years.

Hi! I'm actually 20. But I understand what you mean. It's a very unusual name, indeed.

Boy am I ever glad I wasn't able to change my name when I was 13. I think at one point I remember wanting to call myself either Graciella or Sulamith. I wanted to be the protagonist of a trashy fantasy novel so bad.

"Epic" is a music genre? I'm so interested in this, please tell me more! I need examples.
Lyrianna definitely looks like the kind of name one chose for oneself. It's got strong "magical girl main character in a YA novel" energy. If you're shy about that and want it to look "natural" I'd say maybe simplify it (to Lyra or Lianna maybe) or stick with Delphina. Also Lyrianna would probably be shortened by people, it's very long. If you're ok with that, then it's all good, but if not, keep in mind you won't hear your full name very often. You will *always* be asked to spell Lyrianna and people will absolutely butcher it, so keep that in mind. I love Delphina and think it matches what you're going for really well, but I love brainstorming so I'll do some of that anyway. Sensual and cute at the same time, so, something with coquette vibes.. Dolly
Lalita
Darla
Lettie (like Sophie's sister from Howls Moving Castle)
Simone, Simona, Simonetta
Bettina
Mischka (this is technically a masculine nickname but it's so cute. Look more into Slavic diminutives, they are always a great mix of sexy and sweet)
Suzette
Mimi
Clementine
Sukie
Rosalita
Pomona ("Pomme" would be so cute)
Mirai (this is a kind of trashy modern Japanese name that means "the future" and I've always thought was so cool, I just love its silvery aura)

Hi! Thank you so much for your answer! It's so complete and useful! Also, Epic music is a modern music genre. It's called "Epic" because it has a cinematic feeling, that makes you imagine a story related to the music you're listening to. Several YouTube channels have songs from different composers of this genre, like HDSounDI and Epic Music VN. My favorite composers are Evgeny Emelyanov and Mattia Cupelli. I'm listening to this almost every day since I found out about it! Although, it's not the type of music that I can listen to in the car or at a party (it's very intense, and you need to pay attention to it the same way you would pay attention to a movie). It's a very beautiful, emotional type of music to me!

With AHNA at the end, I'm seconding my own vote in favor of changing it to Lyriana!(Also, even then some people will think it's Liriana)
