Help[Opinions] Grace - as a first name
I'm curious, what are your thoughts on Grace as a first name?
Nice and classic or boring and overused? Is it dated to the late 90s- early 10s? I feel like it isn't nearly as popular anymore as it used to be.
I guess it was never all that popular given that it only has one usual spelling and names with many spelling variants would rise if you combined them.
Which image do you get? Is it a religious name to you?

I think it's kind of boring. Like there are more interesting names out there that you can give your kid.

Classic but not super nice. Not dated but still boring. Tired as a middle name, must prefer it as a first name. I think of that girl I was so jealous of in school. She was probably like everyone else deep down, but I saw her as very intelligent, obedient and graceful. I thought I was less than her, so I made a nasty comment to make myself feel better. I apologized to her but only because she heard me.

Grace isn't overused, but it's a common name for my generation! I actually prefer Gracie as a full name to Grace. I don't see Grace as a very religious name, even if I grew up around calling "the blessing" as "grace" ("saying grace"). In fact, I associate the name with the word "gracefulness" instead. One of my closest friends is named Grace, so whenever I think of this name, I automatically think of her. So, I'll describe her to you: Long, blonde, curly hair, blue eyes, pale skin, shorter in stature, and a beautiful smile. Usually very shy and antisocial, but once she gets to know you, it's non-stop chatter. She loves all things cute (think, similar vibes to Hello Kitty...but, she doesn't like Hello Kitty, lol), dogs/cats, unique earrings, horror films, creating art, singing, and playing video games. She's very kindhearted and trustworthy; she's always willing to help anyone in need. Once you are her friend, she holds you very close.

There are lots of names that I find more religious than Grace, but the idea is there if anyone wants it. The only Grace I've known was a cheerful, lively, very nice person who told me that when they were kids, her brother's nn for her was Dis.

Lovely name. Beautiful classic, can't be dated, and don't understand why it would be considered religious, its a virtue name.

I prefer Grace as first name rather than a filler middle name. I think it's sweet with a great meaning and it has a wonderful image of actress Grace Kelly who became Princess Grace of Monaco.

I like it. I think it comes off as sweet, shy, and nerdy. I don't think of it as religious.
ETA For some reason Grace is very strictly a brown-haired name to me. Blond Grace and redhead Grace are incorrect, and black hair Grace is on thin ice lol

It's fine, but a little overused in my opinion. It does kind of feel a bit like an early 2000s name, but I don't think it's completely binded to that. I don't picture anything in particular when I picture a Grace. A normal girl, I suppose? Or Grace from the Umbrella Academy. It doesn't strike me as particularly religious.
