I would spell it Linley. I like Linlea but as in lin-lee-uh. As a spelling of Linley, it can be mispronounced and misspelled often. I like the sound of the name. It's dainty, pretty and fun, but the first Y in Lynley seems unnecessary. I prefer other modern names.

I would guess that a Lynley was 12 or older. I had no idea the name went back that far, but it's not too hard to believe.
