Huh, I had a client today with alzheimer's named
Natalie, and I thought the same thing...well more like 45 than 30 but yeah. I thought her daughter's name sounded like the older one.
My grandma's best friend was named
Margaret. She didn't use a NN. My main associations with
Margaret unshortened are her, history books, and nuns. I think it's a nice name.
I always liked
Madge and
Midge.
Peggy and
Gretel are kind of cute.
Meg seems classic.
Maggie / Mags has grown on me in recent years; I remember reading
Maggie in a story as a kid and thinking it hideous, but now it's just retro.
