[Opinions] Re: Narrowing it down
My favourite names on your list are Esmé, Sophie, Fleur and Alouette. I like three given names: all my children have three each. I far prefer Leah to Lya, especially if you aren't in a Francophone place. And I don't see the point of hyphenating Lya-Sophie: how many people will ever see it or say it? And why that, but not Lya-Alouette? So, in your place I'd seriously consider Esmé Fleur Alouette. Also, be aware that it's possible that your little girl will for no apparent reason not look like the name/s you've chosen: my son looked fine with all three of his names, but I'd set my heart on having a daughter named Lucy and when she was born, she just didn't look at all like a Lucy - that's the best way I can explain it. So I found myself reading down alphabetical lists of girl names and stopping when I got to one I liked, and trying it out on her! She finally looked like Caroline, and I was very grateful that she didn't make me toil on and on until I reached Zoe!
