Venus makes a bold, majestic statement. But it's a lot to live up to!
I really love the name Venus
Charlene seems dated, certainly where I live; though I like Charlene, Charlotte is much more likely in today's world. Chantelle is sentimentally pretty-pretty, with a pinch of French glamour if you aren't too particular; I would certainly want to avoid or get rid of it, but never in my right mind would I want to use or see anyone else use Venus. Or, indeed, Aphrodite. Far too ambitious.
Chantelle seems dated/stylized, but I really like it. I don't like Charlene as much - I think because I'm fond of Charlotte and Darlene, so Charlene just can't compare.
I feel a bit uncomfortable about parents naming their kid after a sex goddess but otherwise lukewarmly like Venus - because of Venus Williams and because I tend to like V names and Roman mythology names.
Chantelle Venus would be an interesting combo.

It seems to me that Venus was likely chosen by the daughter for herself.
Yeah, but I meant to imply I was relatively ok with that (while commenting on general usage).

Where’d Venus come from?? It’s worlds better than Chantelle.
