Help[Surname] Davila
I know it's Ibero-Romance in origin and from the Iberian Peninsula, but I don't know what specifically its origin is. Is it Portuguese or Galician words "Da Vila" meaning "of the town/village" (or something similar), or the Spanish "De Ávila" (of Avila)?
