I'm a sucker for themes, so I'd at least play around with the idea! I like subtle themes, like meanings or origins, that's a fun one.
Sometimes I play a game with myself involving choosing which girl name I'd pick for a daughter following the "tradition" of my maternal line - every generation had very popular, trendy female names, going back to my great-grandma. What a legacy.
The only theme I really dislike is Duggar style "same initial" stuff. It's ok if, say, Anna and Andrew have a baby and call it Angeline. But if they have 7 more kids and follow the theme, that's a bit much.
