[Opinions] Re: Do you associate these names with the Hunger Games?
in reply to a message by HappyApple
I enjoyed The Hunger Games and want to read the new book that just came out but aside from some of the more unusual names, like Katniss and Peeta, etc I don't associate many names with the books.
Ember - generically magical sounding, reminds me more of City of Ember or a romance novel
Willow - definitely think of Buffy first and foremost
Meadow - I think of hippies or trad wives (what opposites, right? yet they have similar naming styles imo lol)
My PNLs = http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/37275
My ↑ Faves: Remy and Eseld
List ↑ Rated: Henry and Alice (main) / Caspian & Guinevere (GP) / James & Charlotte (top25)
List ↓ Rated: Calhoun and Venla (main) / Bedwyr & Oniria (GP) / Thane & Eydis (top25)

lol it is not cannon that City of Ember is part of the same universe - that's a completely different world and history, not to mention it's two different authors.
Homeschool family vibes is basically trad wives vibes. They're almost the same thing and I bet that venn diagram is practically a single circle.

Thanks for you feedback. I do agree it is a homeschool feeling name, but we should not mock people for their career, political, and schooling choices.
