[Opinions] Re: Do you associate these names with the Hunger Games?
I enjoyed The Hunger Games and want to read the new book that just came out but aside from some of the more unusual names, like Katniss and Peeta, etc I don't associate many names with the books. Ember - generically magical sounding, reminds me more of City of Ember or a romance novelWillow - definitely think of Buffy first and foremostMeadow - I think of hippies or trad wives (what opposites, right? yet they have similar naming styles imo lol)

It's cannon that the city of Ember takes place in the Hunger Games Universe, plus fire is a symbol in the Hunger Games. Meadow isn't hippy to me, more homeschool family vibes (I was homeschooled)
lol it is not cannon that City of Ember is part of the same universe - that's a completely different world and history, not to mention it's two different authors. Homeschool family vibes is basically trad wives vibes. They're almost the same thing and I bet that venn diagram is practically a single circle.
Thanks for you feedback. I do agree it is a homeschool feeling name, but we should not mock people for their career, political, and schooling choices.
