[Opinions] Archie
What do you think of this name? It is really trending, and I'm not sure why. The only association I know with it is the comics. Other wise it seems like a pet name. What do you think or it?

I have loved Archie for a long time. I love the way it sounds and looks. It has such a light-hearted feel to it too. I would prefer to use Archer (which I also love) as a full name but I do think Archie can stand on its own.
I think it's trending because of Prince Archie of Sussex. I enjoyed the one Archie comic book that I read, and it doesn't put me off the name. It sounds happy-go-lucky and full of life, but also really kiddy. I wouldn't use it as a legal name. And although Archibald sounds manly and sophisticated, it also sounds dramatically aged.
The bald in Archibald is a turnoff for me, sorry.
No, I get it. That part puts me off, too. I feel the same about Theobald, although it would be a refreshing alternative to Theodore. So I guess I'll prop up Theodosius?
I love it, but I knew a boy named Archibald "Arch" and I actually like that a lot better.
Eh, it’s the kind of name I can’t really take seriously.
My husband loves this name and when we discussed baby names, it would have been his first choice for a boy. I didn’t like it, but I do like the name Archer. Unfortunately he doesn’t like that as it reminds him of a TV show. I don’t like Archie as a standalone, because people would assume the full name is Archibald.
It's so British. I like it, it's exotic in a tweedy old chap sort of way.
It's common in the UK as a full name.It is the name of Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex's son.I find it handsome but not one I would use myself, just because it is so common here.
I find it pleasantly Scottish, as a nn for Archibald of course. I dated a Scottish Archie for a while, so I wouldn't use it myself, but I'd like to meet a few more.
My grandfather was named Arnold Archibald "Archie," so I'm partial to it. I also enjoy it as a feminine nickname for Arcangela and Archana.
Oh, Archie as a girl name! I never even considered that, I love it. Very flapperesque.
I've taught a teenager girl named Archita "Archie" which I loved.
