An aquintance is naming her son Lowen. What do you think of the name? And where did it come from? It’s the first time I’ve heard it.

I really like it!
I like its meaning, it's very positive. I wonder what caused it to chart in France and the Netherlands.
I love it! I enjoy the softness of the sound and I adore the meaning. I think it's unexpected, and lovely.
I love both the 'lo' and 'wen' sound and they are found everywhere in my list of favorite names, (Angelo, Owen, Rowena, etc.), and so I find myself enjoying this name as well. The 'joyful' meaning is good, too.
I think it's a surname used as a first name. Bowen is a similar surname gathering traction as a first name.
I want to like it, but it sounds a bit like someone is saying Lauren with a lisp.
I like Lowen. But I would prefer Lowell.
I believe SJ Strom mentioned this name in one of her videos. I like it, but it might be aggravating because people would mistake it for Logan.
It's interesting and I don't dislike it. But I can't help but see it as what you might get if someone couldn't pronounce Loren.
Apparently it means "joyful". It's a nice name. Good alternative to Owen.
