Help[Facts] Tenagnework
I encountered this name a while ago as the name of the oldest child of Ethiopian emperor Haile Selassie. Apparently it wasn't her birth name (her birth name being Fikirte). I suspect that work means "gold" like in the name Workneh, but I'm not sure what tenagne means. Does anyone have an idea what this name means?

The original spelling of Tanagnework is ተናኘወርቅ (tänañäwarəq, pronounced tuh-na-nyuh-wuhrk /tə.na.ɲə.wəɾkʼ/) and according to Abyssinica dictionary, ተናኘ means "to spread; to give generously", so the name would mean something like "gives gold generously".
