I love Mae/May, especially as a first name. I think as a mn it can often make names sound too little girl-ish or cutesy. I am constantly going back and forth on spelling; I really like both. I guess most people would spell it
May, and
Mae might be spelled wrong often. However, that might differ depending on the location. I have trouble coming up with combos, though. They never seem to flow quite right with such a short fn.
