[Opinions] Madeleine
I love this name and want to use it, perhaps for my first girl in 2/3 years.
What do you think of the name?
Will it date?
Please bear in mind that it isn't in the top 100 where I live (any sp of Madeleine or Maddison)
Does that effect your opinion?

I think it's very pretty and it will date well too.

I love Madeleine! It is my #2 girls names! I think it would work well on all ages. I found it when I was looking for names that had the nn Maddie, that weren't Madison!

I think it's a lovely name and this is my fave spelling. I don't think the name will date, it has a classic feel about it.

I like Madeleine a lot, partly because it reminds me of one of my favourite films ;)If it's not in the top 100 where you live, it won't date, so don't worry. I say go for it!

I think it is one of those timeless names. If you don't think so, then you can always name her that name and give her a more modern nickname that relates to Madeleine. Will you pronounce it Mad-e-line, or Mad-e-lynn?

No, I like the fact that it is underused where I live. I regard it as an elegant charming name.
Sometimes it doesn't get such a positive reaction on boards as people think it is overused, especially the nn Maddie (which ties in with why I mentioned Maddison in there!)
I prn it Mad-e-lynn.

Have always liked that name. Like the way you are pronouncing it, too. As long as you are the one that really loves it, and you name a child that, won't you always love it? It goes really well with a child as well as an adult. Yep... TIMELESS!

My aunt is named Madeleine and I like it, with the NN Madde. But I would spell it Madelene :)

I really like it. It's a good, solid name for a girl. I much prefer it to Maddison. I don't think it will date personally. It's not trendy like Maddison. About the popularity (or lack thereof) overall I tend to have a more positive outlook on names that aren't overly popular.Excellent choice! :o)

Madeleine, especially this spelling, is gorgeous. Yes, it is popular, but not so overwhelmingly so as to make it unusable. in a sea of Kaylas, Neveahs and Destynees, your Madeleine's name will shine like a beacon. I hope you get the chance to use it. :-)

I'm not sure where you live, but if the name isn't in the top 100, then I don't think it will date badly. I think it's very pretty and classic. I prefer the prn. MAD-uh-linn or mad-uh-LEEN. It has been popular where I live and I would still consider using it.

I know a little girl called Madeleine. Her nn is Maddie. I think it's sweet on little girls at the moment even though it isn't popular.
