Sean is ultra preppy to me, next to Shane, although I do like it.
Shane seems more earthy/blue-collar, friendly, and masculine to me, and I like it better. I'd never name my own boy Sean, but I'd consider Shane. A friend of mine named her son Shane a couple years ago. - chazda
