Jillian / Gillian
I have been thinking about this name a lot lately. What do you think of it? which spelling / pronounciation to prefer? I think i like the Gillian (with a hard G) pronounciation but do you think people would confuse it with the soft j sound?

I like the name a lot but only with the soft g sound. With a hard G, it makes me think of fish gills. I also have very distinct images I associate with each spelling even though I pronounce them the same.

I love Gillian, however for some reason I'm not as fond of the Jillian spelling.

I don't like this name either spelling or pronunciation.I think it would get mispronounced with the 'g' spelling

Hmmm ... I like Gillean (with a hard "g") for a boy but that's got a different origin. For a girl I like the Julian and Juliana forms best.
