I don't care for Marcy, but I really like Mercy. I've known two people named Mercy. One was a Filipino women with a little girl named Faith. The other I went to nursing school with. She's in her mid-20's and from Nigeria. Her mn is Fatima. She is a very cool person and I love her name. :)

I like them alright.I prefer Marcy / Marcie as a nickname for Marcia, Marcella, Marcelline et cetera, rather than an independent name.Mercy is a bit too word-namey in real life for my taste ('calling for Mercy' type puns are too obvious), but it's pretty on paper. - chazda

I like Mercy in theory, but probably not on a real person.:)

Marcy sounds too much like Mercy for me.
I love Mercy, but March sounds like Mercy in March.
Mercy gets my vote, Marcy gets a grimace.
Also Marcy ulitmitely means "male". Not nice.-Seda*
