I like it, but I've mentioned it here before, and got alot of negative responses, because of the "Moan" sound.

I have a strange relationship with Mona. I find I use it quite a bit when it comes to characters and such, but whenever I think well maybe I should add it to the names I could possibly use in real life... I go NAA! I like it. I just don't love it, I guess.

I like Mona, but I think of Who's the Boss. Otherwise, it's pretty and simple.

I like it but wouldn't use it because of the Moan-ah teasing possibility. I used to know a woman, now in her mid 30s, named Ramona Camille nn Mona. I adore her full name, actually, but I'd rather have a child/be called Ramona than Mona.

I love it. I think Mona has a noir-ish 40s film star feel that's very cool. Yeah, everyone will think of the Mona Lisa, but that's not a terrible association.

I love it; I've liked it ever since I was a child. :)

I think it's wonderful, whether as a full name or a nickname.Array

When I was younger I used to want twin girls named Mona and Lisa when I grew up. This was before I even knew there was a painting, I'd just heard it somewhere. I like Mona a lot, its really cute but everyone would think of Mona Lisa

I can't like this name, mona in spanish is a female monkey.I still remember when me and my sibs were little kids and we heard the name Mona Lisa for the first time. That woman on the picture was named "straight female monkey".

Mona... Lisa? Even trying to rid my mind of that connotation, I don't like it. I guess I don't like the 'moan' at the beginning.

When I was little, I thought Mona was so exotic. Now it reminds me of Angelas mom on Whose the Boss. Or the Mona Lisa. It just doesn't appeal to me anymore.
Perhaps as a nn for Ramona I would like it. :)

I automatically think of Mona Lisa, then Mona Lisa Smile. It is one of those names that can be cute on some girls, and I guess I would have to know someone with that name to have a good association with it. If that makes any sense.

It makes me think of something, I just cant think of what - if that makes sense. Either way, I've never been thrilled about this name for that reason. A good friend, little sister roommate (catch that?) name is Mona. She is from California (goes to college in Michigan). At first I thought it was a nn but I am pretty sure its not. Its acceptable, but I still cant seem to get a negative connection (that I cant think of) from it.

Mona Lisa. It has too much of a moan sound to me to be appealing. It sounds like someone nose is stuffed up. But the meaning is cute.
