Marvolo?
DON'T WORRY! Not to use lol! Way too Voldemort! I just want to know what you think of it as a name in general. I like the sound and how it flows as well as the fairly exotic (for lack of a better word) appearance.

I agree with you, I've always kind of wished it was a real name or even a surname, so I could get away with forming extremely hypothetical combos with it. I love all of the phonetic aspects of it, except maybe Marv. I like Mar, Vo, and Lo though.

Dislike it, even without the JKR association. When I first saw it I confused it with Malvolio, as in the ridiculous villain from "Twelvth Night".

I think of Rolos, the little round candies.
Sounds more plausible as a surname than a given name to me.

I think of Marlboro cigarettes, normally said just like Marvolo but with a 'b'.

Tom Marvolo Ruttle....Sorry that's all I can think of. Yes way to Voldemort for me... I don't JKR made it up though. If it is a real name(when I say that I mean has history before Harry Potter). I think it sounds like the Italian version of Mario?

MarioI think Mario IS the Italian version of Mario lol. But don't worry, it's not a name I would ever dream of using. Just a name I find interesting.

I know of a dog called Marvolo, and as far as I can tell, it suits him well.I think it makes a perfectly nice name for a pet.Array
