Amara, Amarantha, or Amarante
Which do you prefer? Other suggestions? I love Amarante the best, mainly because of the meaning. Amara I like, but I don't like the meaning, nor do I like the trendiness of it. Amarantha and Amarante would be middle names, Amara would be considered as a first.

Amara is nice, but I prefer/love Amarantha. I also like Amaranthe.

Amarantha is nice, but possibly a bit cumbersome as a first name. As concerns Amara, I just can't get past the fact that it means "bitter" in my native language. In spite of its potential trendiness, I'd go for Mara as an alternative.

Amarantha is my favourite, then Amarante, then Amara. But I still like Kiri (which used to be listed as having a meaning related to the amaranth and which I thus think of in the same breath as Amarantha) best. ;)Array

I only like Amara, and then not all that much. Amarante makes me think of amaretto, and amarantha sounds vaguely like a disease. As far as mara names go, I do like tamara.
