1. What names are you thinking of most today?
Wilfrid, Margaretta, Dougal (but that's because the cat's been sat in the room)2. Do you think it's ok to have themed middle names in a sibset if you like all the names?
Yes. I've often though about using flower middle names for daughters due to the amount of flower names I love.3. Do you think its ok to name a child after a book/movie character if its not REALLY obvious, and you were passionate about the book/movie?
Within reason, yes. I mean I'd draw the line if your favourite character was a squirrel called Walnut. I love Jane all the more after reading 'Jane Eyre' so that would be a factor should I use it.4. Do you think in about 8 years time it'll be ok to call a boy Shiloh?
I've no idea. I'm no good at predicting these things. 5. How do you find most of the names you put on your list, or have you just come across them over the years?
For all over. Books I read, if I use a name as a character in a story I'm writing they tend to grow on me, people/things I've come across, looking through name sites/books (as long as they're reputable). Everywhere in fact.6. How long have you had a name list?
I've had a name list in my head as long as I can remember. However, since joining here (April 2003) I've had a list in Word/Excel as it's made it easier for posting lists on the boards.7. Do you write fiction/film scripts etc?
Yes, mainly fanfiction at the moment (Pride and Prejudice) because that's all I have time for but I've many, many potential stories floating around in my head.8. What's your least favourite name atm?
Probably Destiny9. Whats the first combo that comes into your head right now? Quick!!!
Winifred Arabella10. Do you think pets should have pet names (e.g. Fluffy) or people names or do you not really care?
Whatever suits them.11. Whats the oddest combo (in your opinion) that you've ever liked?
Mary Sunshine12. Do you go through phases with your names, or do you tend to stick with most of them?
Probably a bit of both. I tend to stick with my boys' names but go through phases with my girls' names.13. If you're planning on having children, how many would you want?
I'm not sure on whether I want them or how many.14. Is there one name you'd really like to use, but feel like you can't for some reason or other? If so, what name and why.
I'd really like to use Darcy for a boy but I have the feeling that future father will object and/or by the time I have children it will be firmly seen as feminine to the British population (apparently it's climbing the girls' chart).15. Do you like nature/word names or think they're a bit too weird and non-namey?
It depends on what the word is just as it depends on what the 'real' name is. I do have a few nature/word names on my list but mainly as GPs. I do think a lot of them are bordering on the stupid as words are open to interpretation - ie what you find is a good quality/thing/experience/etc others might find offensive/pointless/etc. Cases like these you have to think of the child rather than yourself.
