Shy and Seana
I thought I'd share a couple of unusual names I have noticed the last few days.I was greeted by a hostess on Friday at one restuarant whose name badge said Shy. I asked her if that was really her name. She said no, but she went by it because no one could pronounce her real name and she got fed up with it being mispronounced.Today I had another hostess in a different place. Her name was Seana. I wondered if it was pronounced See-Anna, but I was wrong - it was like Shawna.Chels'

I know a Cheyenne whose mom calls her Shy (probably spelled Chey).
If Sean is pronounced Shawn, why not spell Shawna as Seana.

I agree with Shy probably being a nickname for Cheyenne which I really like, but I like Shy as a nn too.Totally agree with Seana pronounced as Shawna although I think Shawn looks nicer than either of those two, even on a girl.
