Sorcha or Myfanwy?
(sor-ik-ah + mih-vawn/van-wee)Which one? Why? Myfanwy can occasionally go by Myf (miv), if you like.

Myfanwy!Heh. It's my name so I obviously regard Myfanwy as the best name ever :p I've never gone by any kind of nickname though.

Sorcha sounds tough and feminine. I like it...as for Myfanwy, my opinion is the same as Murasaki's.

Gah so hard because I love them both and they both have a similar feel to me. I'm assuming this is all for a character, so I guess my decision would depend on when/where the story takes place and knowing a bit more contextual information. I'm inclined to pick Myfanwy though because I've loved it since I was a kid.

I quite like Sorcha, very pretty. Myfanwy is nice if you can get the pronunciation right! I prefer Sorcha because I have a thing for Irish names, particulary girl's names and I've liked it for a long time. The meaning is very appealing as well. Myfanwy has a nice meaning too though.

Not a huge fan of either, but overall I prefer Sorcha. Myfanwy is one of those names everyone except me seems to rave about. It looks and sounds odd, the meaning is also a bit weird, and I'm always inclined to read it as "My fanny".
