Idony
Is Idony really a pretentious name? I hope not, as I think I like it. I pronounce it EYE-don-ee. I don't know why it isn't used anymore, since it's similar to Ivory. WDYT of Idony?

I don't think it's pretentious. I think it's unusual and has a good measure of class. Personally, I prefer Idonea, but both are sweet. Pronunciation might be an issue; I'm not sure if I'd pronounce it EYE-don-ee or ID-on-ee at first glance, but it looks pretty and is very unusual.

I actually can't understand why Idony seems pretentious to some people. Yes, Idony is rare, but that just gives the name an exotic "flavor." It's unique, yet it still maintains an understated sweetness.

It's kind of pretty. It makes me think of Ides. I prefer Iona or Ione, which have similar sounds, so I never really think about Idony.
