Sévérine or Roxelana...
... which one is better? Oh, and after you pick which is better, would Seraphine work best? Just am curious.

I think Severine is just ugly. It strikes me as a name one would come to be attracted to stemming from a Harry Potter fascination. That dashes any sense of elegance or interest it may have had for me and makes it tiresome. It might feel sort of unfair to dismiss a name right out of the gate, but there you go. I can't shake the reek of wizards and magic. Roxelana has more aesthetic appeal to me but it has is own problems. It feels awkward in the same sense that it does when people ask about Che. I associate it with one single historical figure, and even then as only her nickname. Because it is more "namey" than something like Che doesn't change that for me.

Severine over Roxelana. Roxelana looks like a sci-fi princess name. Severine seems to have more of a sense of history, which I always adore. Severine is stronger than Seraphine. Seraphine seems fussy and spoiled next to it.
