Vivienne or Vivien?
I used to love Vivian, but it doesn't seem so feminine to me as it used to be. Thanks. :)

Vivienne!I don't like Vivian at all. Vivienne changes the prn. ever so slightly, but it makes all the difference in the woirld to me. Vivienne is gorgeous, especially with the nn Vivi.

Vivian is masculine in Britain, and I love Vivien for a girl. It's a tough call between Vivien and Vivienne, but I prefer Vivien for its simplicity and the fact that Tennyson used it in his "Idylls of the King" (unless I'm much mistaken)

I prefer Vivien over Vivienne.

Vivienne, it's more feminine and Vivien doesn't look complete. It looks like you were going to write Vivienne and got distracted.

Vivienne, definitely. Vivian looks weird as the A sticks out and Vivien looks masculine. Well not exactly masculine but not really feminine either.

I don't pronounce Vivienne and Vivien the same. I prefer Vivienne.

I dislike Vivien, but love Vivienne.(FYI, these aren't the same names to me as I pronounce them differently.)

Vivienne. Vivien seems incomplete.

I used to prefer Vivien, but now I like Vivienne. It's very soft. I do like Vivian too, but I agree it's not as feminine. I don't particularly like it on a male, but it does have a strong darkness about it. I also find that Vivien kind of bothers me because I get confused feelings when looking at it-- it's a mix of Vivian and Vivienne.

Of the two, I prefer Vivienne. I agree that Vivian isn't feminine enough. But I like Vivien more than either Vivienne and Vivian. Vivienne seems a little too feminine, and I think that Vivien strikes the right balance.

I just realized....that I misread the question. And I can't edit my response because I wasn't logged in. I thought you asked which was preferred, Vivian or Vivien. Sorry. So of those two, I prefer Vivien, because Vivienne is a little TOO frilly.
