Cathleen/Kathleen
I've had this name on my mind recently. I wouldn't use it because it doesn't fit my criteria, but I really like it. I don't care for Caitlin, though.WDYT? Cathleen or Kathleen? I think I prefer the latter.

I like Kathleen best. Probably because my own first name is Kathryn. I'm fond of that upstanding K!

To me it seems dated and far inferior to Catherine or Katherine. I feel that parents back in the 40s and 50s felt that a classic name such as Katherine was boring, and thought they were improving it by using the Irish form, and they were trying to improve something that needed no improvement.Of the two, I prefer Kathleen.

My mother's name, although she spells it Kathlene. I prefer the K, it looks sharper. I like it well enough, but I agree that Cathrine sounds nicer.

I know an 18 year old Kathleen that goes by Katie. It was rather popular here for a time along with Colleen / Coleen. Just one of those "you know she's Irish" names around here.

I prefer Cathleen, just because I like C names better than K names. Both are dated, though.

I'll take you home, KathleeeenLOL! Ahh, whenever I hear this name I think of an episode of Star Trek (the original old-school series) where some drunken starfleet officer gets on the ship intercom and sings that line over and over again. Or somrthing.I like Kathleen. It's got great hipster appeal, and it has lots of spunk. It's a scrapper of a name. I like K more than C too.
