I'm glad it's not the first name.

It's an insect and a sport! Not a name fit for a human at all imo. Just silly.

It's OK as a middle name. I know someone who called their baby Cricket. It was their nickname for the unborn baby, he was born premature and died. So they stayed with Cricket. Actually the mother thought Cricket was a cool name and might have used it anyway. I have a sad association with it though.

I like Amelia, but Cricket is NMS. It would be fine as a nickname though.

I love Cricket as a nn, makes a cute mn, but nms. Definitely prefer it as a nn only.

I love Cricket as a gender neutral nickname. I tried to call my son that because it fits his personality so completely, but he didn't like it. Poooh! LOL I don't mind it as a middle name. If you are going to do something fun with a name, the middle spot is perfect for it.

It's cute but it's the name of my little sister's dog.

I think Cricket is ridiculous, but at the same time, it's kind of adorable. I like names like Meadow and Clover (though, I don't admit this very often, haha), so Cricket kinda fits in there, imo.
Then again, I wouldn't name my kid Hockey or Dragonfly, so I'm not sure why Cricket isn't screaming "That is outrageous!" to me.
I think Cricket as a nickname would be more appropriate.
I'm not a big fan of Amelia, personally.

I like Emilia better, ever since someone pointed out on here that Amelia is the same spelling as a medical condition!
Cricket was the name of a character in the American soap "The Young and the Restless". When she exchanged teenage modelling for law school they promptly called her by her "real name", Christine!

I like Amelia a lot.Cricket is my cats name, not suitable for a person imo although it is in the baby name book that I have. It's a bit of a mystery why someone would name their child after a bug (or sport).
