Celestine or Emmeline
I'm torn between Celestine and Emmeline. What are your thoughts?

I would go for either Celeste or Emily, and I much prefer Emily. The longer versions seem unnecessarily long.

Although I like Emmeline, I say go with Celestine. Emmeline might be confused with Emily. Celestine is beautiful, melodious, and underused.

CelestineI love Emmeline very much, but Celestine just has a charm that I don't think Emmeline has...Celestine is from Latin, anyway, and I really do love classical names, sometimes even more than Germanic, and definitely more than French. Celestine is probably rarer than Emmeline, and that's another reason.

The fact that there are some somewhat known male Celestines makes me prefer Emmeline. Emmeline also sounds the more modern of the two and less pretentious to use on a real child.

I think that I like Emmeline beter. It is a beautiful name.
