Talitha
I really like the name Talitha. I think it's beautiful and unique. What is your opinion of Talitha? Do you prefer it as a first or middle name? I pronounce it TAL-i-thə, by the way. Combo ideas?

I don't like it. I thought it was Tabitha at first. For more then a second. That means it will be mistaken for Tabitha a lot.

Yes, I can foresee that happening quite a lot. It doesn't deter me from liking the name though.

I like it, and I also like Tabitha, but probably not enough to actually use either. I think it makes a good fn, and is too fresh and surprising to lurk in the mn position.

I agree. I think it would make a good first name. :)

I worked at a camp one summer and one of the campers was named Talitha Cumi after the girl in the Bible. She went by Talitha. I thought it was a really neat name. Talitha May

I pronounce Talitha tah-LEE-tha and maybe that's why I'm not wild about it because it reminds me of 'lethal.' OTOH, I've never given your pronunciation much thought and that does change my mindset somewhat. I could learn to like it. Already I prefer it to Tabitha.

Yeah, I really dislike the tah-LEE-tha pronunciation for that reason too. It just doesn't sound very good. Yes, I prefer it to Tabitha as well. :)

Talitha is an awesome name, in my opinion. Much better than Tabitha (which inevitably gets shortened to Tabby, which reminds me of cats).

I agree. I like Talitha a lot more than Tabitha. :) It's a lot less popular.

Talitha used to be my #1 girls name a few years ago. I still like it a lot. I pronounce it TAL-i-thə in English and tah-LEE-tah in German.

There's just something appealing about Talitha to me. :) The German pronunciation is very nice too.
