Ashley
Do you like the name Ashley, despite popularity?

I had a Chinese pupil once whose English teacher in Taiwan had given her the English name Susannah. She never liked it, and when she came to South Africa she asked someone to give her a new name. It was Ashley, and she liked it. Then she found out about burnt things ... so I cheered her up with the etymology ("It's a very pretty tree ... ") and all was well.
If it was me, I'd have stayed with Susannah; nothing to do with popularity either. I liked Ashley when I was about 5!

I love it. On a boy.
I dislike Ashley on a girl but love it on a boy.
I like it. For a boy.
Dislike it for a girl.
Dislike it for a girl.
Nope. I really just don't see the appeal. I'm not a fan of any of the Ash* names though.
Not really. I have a (female) cousin by the name, and she is the sweetest person ever, but even she can't save the name for me. It's too preppy for my taste.
No, I hate this name. It's beyond popular. I wouldn't even use it for a boy even though there aren't many male Ashleys. I just think it's gross how popular this name is.
I think the name is a bit dated on girls. I prefer it for a boy.
I like it, but only for a boy.
I like it, not despite popularity, but depsite its dated-ness. Because it was so popular in the 90's, it's gone out of style. But I think it's still cute, for a first or middle name
No, I don't like it. I do like Ashley as a surname, though.
Prefer it on a boy! Ashley on a girl just sounds so common
I don't like it on a boy at all :)
