Eden
What do you think of Eden for a girl? Just thought of it because Abra was a character in East of Eden, but I liked it for some time.I just fear it will get super common and tacky along the lines of Heaven and Nevaeh. Opinions?

I used to hate Eden, but it's been growing on me a little. I think it's fine as a name, and definitely better than Heaven or Nevaeh.

Love Eden for a girl. It's made it onto my list. That being said, the only Eden I've known IRL was a boy.

Eden used to be one of my favorite names, but I haven't been loving it as much lately for whatever reason. I do think it's going to get more common, but I don't think it's tacky in the way Nevaeh and Heaven are.

Oh, I would never consider Eden to be as tacky as Nevaeh or Heaven, but I know it's seen as something of a "stripper name" by some people. I don't get it, personally. I think Eden has more of an artsy and creative vibe than anything else. It's easy for me to picture an Eden as a painter or sculptor. I've always liked the name. It's bound to become more popular, but I don't believe it will make it to the Top 50 anytime soon--perhaps not even the Top 100.

I like it. I think that it is mildly tacky but not on the same levels as Heaven and Nevaeh.

Eden is very pretty. I like it. And (not that it needs a nickname) but Edie is cute too.
I know of someone who named their son Eden. That's a little out there for me.Definitely never going to as common as Heaven and Nevaeh, by my guess. I imagine it will gain popularity, but I don't think it'll hit that level at all.

I dunno... I think Eden is 1 of those names that could go either way gender-wise... Sound wise, it's not so far from Keiden and Aidan and such... 'cept that it sounds way better and is just the ending that's similar... However, the only 2 I can think of right now are girls.

I think it's the Ed (eed) part that makes me think girl. Like Edith, Edie. I don't know. But I can't think of what else it would be since there are a million boys names that end in -den.

I like Eden. I met a little boy named Eden recently he was about 3 years old so I've been really liking it for a boy recently, but I also appreciate it as a beautiful name for a girl

Oh I hope it doesn't get grouped with Heaven & Nevaeh!!
I like Eden. It has a nature, outdoorsy sense to me. Also very down to earth & intelligent. I always think of it with Haven. Aspen gives me the same feel without the intelligent part.

It may get more popular, but I don't see it becoming popular. Maybe if they start spelling it backwards! (Nede, anyone? LOL)
I think Eden is beautiful, and I like Edie as a nn. (Not that Eden needs a nickname)

It's ok. I know of a couple Edens... Doesn't seem as tacky as Heaven or Nevaeh... the latter of which is esp. tacky... Eden sounds quite pleasant actually and the meaning's good.

It seems to be on an upward popularity trajectory, but I don't think of it as tacky. Heaven seems more literal to me. I think Eden is pretty.
