Lila?
What are you opinions on this name? Which pronunciation do you like? I like LY-la the best.

I love the name and pronounce it [LY-la]. I only have two issues with the name. 1.) It's a little too popular as a first name. Would make an adorable middle name!
2.) The first syllable sounds like word 'lie'.

I think Lila is a lovely name and I also pronounce it LIE-la.

I love it, but I much prefer LEE-la. For LY-la I'd use Lyla, which is the most common spelling anyway. I also like Lyra.

I say ly-la as well. My niece is 18 months and she calls her sister Lily Lila because she can't say Lily yet. She says it lil-uh, which I think is so cute!

I'd pronounce it LY-la. I like LEE-la just fine, too, but I default to LY-la when I see it written. I think it's a fine name. Very pretty.

Sorry to say, I can't stand it. To be fair, I can't stand the "lie" sound in general. I also dislike names like Lyle and Lorelei. The only name I don't mind this sound in is Caroline.

I like it a lot. I pronounce it "LY-la," like you do. It's very pretty, in both spelling and sound.

Lyla is the preferred prn... but it's still a little too trendy and too close to Lily for me to get particularly excited about it... It's not a horrid name that makes me cringe and go "WHAT were those parents THINKING?" though.
