Which do you like best?

Lily, I think the story behind Lilith is just plain horrible and I'd never use it. I mean your child will probably google the name at some point and find out. I know it's just a story but I wouldn't name my kid Voldemort either. The association is too strong.

LilyI'd choose Lily although it's pretty common... not over-used though, I'd say. It's a cute name. Lilith looks ok too, just don't like the "th"-sound in the end.

Neither. Lilith has a bit more spunk and individuality than Lily, but not enough.

Lily! I don't like like Lilith at all. Lilith is a demon I believe, according to the Jewish faith (not sure, I'm not Jewish) and she's a creepy woman on that TV show, Frazier.

Definitely LilyIt's so hard for me, but I prefer Lily. Lilith is still one of my favorites but probably in the GP catagory as there are two "Lily" names I like even more.

Lilith. It's just got something about it, sort of vintage and romantic. Besides, she could always go by Lily as a nn, her choice.

LilithI'm quite suddenly beginning to dislike Lily. It's so boring. Almost soul-less. Lily, Lily, Lily. No, no, no.Lilith at least has some spunk.

LilyLily, Lily, a thousand times Lily.

Lilith. I like the meaning and history behind it. I like Lily too (sound, look, flower, among other reasons), and last year I would have preferred it over Lilith, but now that I'm seeing it everywhere and it's becoming undeniably popular, I'm willing to chose Lilith over it.

Of the Lil names, I like Liliana best... Lily bores me, but Lilith is ugly, so I'd rather another Lily than a Lilith.

I prefer the edgy darkness of Lilith...Lily is a sweet nn for it too so you get the best of both worlds!

I really like both, but I prefer Lilith. It's less expected these days, but it's close enough to Lillian and Lily that it might be confused with them, though. If you used Lilith, you could always call her Lily as a nickname.

I use to like Lilith a lot. But since I've been watching Fraiser a lot lately I've started not to like it very much. Also it just seems like a name that someone uses to be rebelious. And because of that it also seems like a hipster name. So I prefer Lily even though it is popular. I like flowers and even though certain flower names are very popular lately I still choose Lily. :) Lillian and Liliane are also growing on me. I've liked Lilia and Lilya and Liliya for a while now. Also there is Lila but I'm not certain how to pronounce it.If you want something less expected and not too frilly what about Lilium? It is the genus of flowers that include lilies. If I was using a Lily name for my own child I'd choose Lilia, Lilium or Liliane.

Opps, meant this under the main postLilith, I loathe Lily as a nn but even more as a full name. Lilith is a nice change for the eyes and ears to all the other Lily names I seem to see used only for the nn Lily. Hopefully Lilith wouldn't be just another Lily, but at least she have the choice.
