Shannon
What are your thoughts on Shannon? I've always liked it, but it's sort of been on the back burner. I thought about something like Georgia Shannon or Nicola Shannon, but I don't know. Do you think it's dated or too tied to a certain time period? What MNs would you suggest? Or FNs, if you like!

Not exciting, but ok... It's not overused anymore and might almost be refreshing among the current trendy names. Nicola Shannon is kinda pretty.

I like it. I think of the River Shannon. I prefer it for a boy though.

I love the name Shannon. It would be on my list if it weren't for a terrible association I have. I don't find it too dated at all. I secretly like it for a boy too. Shannon Rosemonde

Personally, I think Shannon is a little old fashioned. I think it would work much better as a middle name. As for a first name, 3 syllable names tend to sound good. A few examples would be Lorelei Shannon, or as you suggested: Nicola Shannon.

Well, being that it's my name, it's hard for me to be objective about it. But I think it's one of those nicely dated names that makes you get happy nostalgic images. I think Georgia Shannon is quite pretty. I do prefer it for a girl, and I'm not just saying that to stand up for my own name. On a boy it's not bad, though. I'm never sure if it feels more aristocratic or more dashing. Either way, the one male Shannon I've known gives me a bad association, which doesn't help.
