I think it's a gorgeous name, even though it's super popular. Friends of ours who are pregnant like the name.

I think it's really pretty and I can appreciate it's simplicity.
I prefer Ada though.

I can't get past the fact it's so popular and might become really dated. The actual name's ok, but not great. It's got the Ava Gardner association going for it.

Too popular.

It's nice but I feel like if you can agree on another name, there's no need to use it.

I really like it. :) I have not met any yet.

I really like Ava. I wouldn't use it myself but I enjoy seeing it. I think it will be pretty dated to the mid to late 000s though.

I think it's a good name. I've met a couple of child Avas.I personally am not into it because the sound of it makes me think of a bossy person. Not that I expect Avas to be bossy people, really - the name is fine. It's just that my perception of that quality in it would prevent me from adding it to my favorites list or actually using it.

I like it. I prefer Eva, pronounced the Spanish way so it sounds like AY-va, but Ava is good too. The main reason I prefer Eva is because Ava is more popular (and also because I like E better than A "AY"). I like the look of both names.
I also like Aviana "Ava", etc. I wouldn't use Ava myself, bit if I had to I'd give it a longish middle name that wasn't very common.

I think it's OK. It's quite sweet and pretty and definitely feminine (not unisex). I prefer Eva though. i don't know if it's because it's less trendy or less popular, or just because I like the sound better!

It's easy to see why Ava is so popular. It's feminine without being frilly, easy to spell and has the hot sound of the moment, a "v" sound. Despite its popularity, I do still love it. the only potential down-side is the possibly confusion with Eva, which some people(s) pronounce the same way as Ava. But overall I still think the Old Hollywood association I have with Ava is worth it.Ava Laurentine ("-teen") is my stock combo.
