Wilda
I just saw someone on a TV commercial who has this name. I've never heard it before. It seems to have dropped out of the top thousand in the mid-fifties, but was somewhat in use before then, though never really popular. It was most popular between 1915 and 1930, it seems.I think it's ugly, but then, I don't like Willa, either. But I know that a lot of people here do like Willa, so I was wondering what is thought of Wilda. Which is better, Wilda or Willa?

I like them both, but prefer Alwilda :)

I like Wilda spelled Wylda and prn wild-ah rather than will-dah to remove it from wildebeest. I do prefer Willa though. Wilda is pretty universally hated from what I remember from my romance with it. I found very few people who liked it.

I knew a woman named Wilga, in Australia. That's even less pleasant. I'd choose Willa, though I don't like it.

... the WildebeestThat would be a disastrous name. Willa by far, and I am not even fond of Willa.
