This is one of my favorite names. What do you think of it?

Magdalena is much better form. Match for short surname.

I like it, but love Magdalena. It's in my top 3 for a future daughter.

I keep hearing it with four syllables, which is one too many. I like Magdalen, though.

I love it. I've wanted to name my girl Lily Magdalene for years.:0)

I prefer Magdalen, but Magdalene is alright. I like that it's a more interesting way to get to Maggie (versus Margaret.)

I love it! Mary Magdalene is a fascinating figure, and the name itself is lush and dramatic. I also love Magdalen.

I think it's dreary.

It's a nice name although I prefer Magdalena or just Magda.

I much prefer Magdalena. It's very beautiful with a lot of nickname potential for a kid.

ditto. -nt and a bit less overtly religious (even if you like the association, it's a lot to put on a kid) :) -

How is it less religious? It's the same name just from a different language.

It's quite beautiful. I've never seen it on anyone, but I think it would be cute on a little girl.

One of my favorite names too, and has been there for a very long time. I love the sound, the history, the look... it's just beautiful. It works well in the MN place as well.

I slightly prefer Magdalena because I have issues pronouncing Magdalene. It's a name I've never seen on anyone, but I think the possible nickname Mags is cute, Magdalene itself seems like a big name for a little girl though.

It sounds like an eighty-year-old nun.
