Willa
What do you think of Willa? I never really considered it because I loved Willow and they're way too similar for sisters. But lately Willa has really grown on me and I think I like it even better than Willow now.Willa or Willow?

Willa for sure. Willow is (a) too sentimental and (b) too cricket-bat, with overtones of aspirin.

Willa for me, love it.

Willa, hands downWillow is so hippy-dippy and insubstantial. Willa is sophisticated and classy, if not an absolute favorite of mine.

I like Willow much much more (I've a huge fan of Willow Rosenberg from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, plus as a synaesthete, the colours of Willow look much nicer than Willa), but if I were naming a child now I would choose Willa. Too many celebrities are naming their daughters Willow, and it's become too much of a trendy name for me to use. And as another poster mentioned, Willa is also a very cute nickname for Wilhemina.

I like both, but Willa is more refreshing these days.

For what it's worth, I prefer Willow. I see it as more feminine and less dated.

I had the same process- I used to love Willow, but I like Willa more now. They're both good, though!

I adore it! I think it's so sweet and old-timey and I much, much prefer it to Willow. I also think it's lovely as a nickname for Wilhelmina.

I love Willa! It's probably my top girl name right now.I much prefer it to Willow, which is strange, because I usually like girls' names that end in O, and they're really so similar. A lot of it probably has to do with the fact that Willow is so much higher on the popularity charts that Willa, which is a deterrent for me personally.
