I love it and my husband loves it, so we used it for our daughter's first name. We've had nothing but positive responses and it suits her well. I love that it isn't overused, but everyone knows how to spell it. ;)

It's my mum's name, so I quite like it, too :-)

Its my Grandma's name. I think its pretty dated and kind of childish and insubstantial. Its ok as a nickname for Gwendolyn, but I prefer Gwen.

It's pleasant, but overly childish and cutesy for an adult.

Wendy is a happy name. I've never known many. That's always a plus. I'd prefer it as a nick for Gwendolen which I adore.

I've only ever known pleasant Wendys, including a lovely Shirley-and-Wendy sibset, but I find it difficult to take seriously on an adult.

I think it's okay. Met 2 adult women named Wendy. One was a teacher at my high school, another was a neighbor of my aunt's, who owned a koi pond and 3 dogs.

Well, it brings to mind Peter Pan instantly. Other than that association, I think it sounds happy. I don't think I'd consider it for my own kid, but I've enjoyed meeting the two Wendys I've come across.

It's sounds okay, but it feels a little dated to me.

I think it's pretty cute. Not popular now but doesn't really seem very dated either. It's got a cheerful, peppy sound. Wendy would be your favorite camp counselor who's always laughing and organizing hikes and things.

It's too cutesy for me, and I don't like Ws in names, but that's just my opinion. There is this "celebrity" in our country called Wendy and I always associate this name with her, so I definitely won't use it.
