Nicknames for Beverly?
Beverly is my g'mas name and while I do like the name in full, I don't like the nn Bev. I will most likely just use it in the mn spot, but in just curious if you guys can think of any other NNs that might make it more usable for me as a fn.

I know a Beverly "Bev" who is in her thirties. It totally suits her and beyond that I think it's a really soft, lovely name. If you didn't care for Bev, then maybe Bee? It's cute and has an old-fashioned sensibility to it that can be fashionable. I could see Betty working. It might seem like a bit of a stretch but Betty is a nickname that I associate with being a catch-all. I've met a Bathsheba "Betty" before; it didn't ruffle my feathers that it wasn't a complete natural jump from one to the other. ETA: Or Bess. It looks just as much like the conventional associated full name Elizabeth as it does Beverly, IMO, so maybe this?

Verly.Naw, I think Bev would grow on you. I know a totally gorgeous, refined, wise Beverly my age, like renaissance painting beautiful, and her name - Beverly and occasionally Bev among friends - works just fine on her. It would be super courageous of you to toss it around as a first name.
