Sure, yes. It's a lot more convincing on a daughter of French speakers, though. There was a Delphine in one of my son's classes. I did not know whether she was French, but when I heard the American teachers address her I thought the name sounded too prissy for my taste. I mean, it would have been prissy if it were my own kid. It was on my favorites list before that day.

Yes and no. Yes in that it's a cool retro name, and no in that isn't one of the characters on American Horror Story named Delphine, portraying the horrific Delphine LaLaurie? The attention the show is giving the name is good but the person herself was pretty grotesque so it's kind of a double-edged sword. But I'm not sure how much of an impact one season of a show will have on the opinion of a name. I'm sure in the end it will hardly matter.

I used to like Delphine as Middle name For Hailey.
But It will be great to see a Delphine, Tons of nns, Del, Dele, Delphi, Phin, Phine, Phina, Dee, Delin, Lin, Phi Phi or Squeaky (Just kidding)

Absolutely! And it's a great name. Not that you asked, but I'd love to meet a little Delphine. I might nickname her Delphi or just Phi. Even "fee-nie".
