Albert
What do you guys think of the name Albert? What does it make you think of? How would you feel meeting someone of a more recent generation (0-25) named Albert? Or a character in a book/other franchise?

I like Albert and would love to meet a small one; once I knew a Greek South African with a very complicated fn (he said - I think it was Apostolos) who chose to be called Albert, and since he was an excellent guy in every way and also the youngest Albert I've known, my impressions are good.

Albert's on my list! It used to be a high favourite of mine but has since dropped off my radar a bit. I seem to like many "Alb-" names for the nickname "Alby"; especially Alban. But I always come back to Albert. I don't find it to be a "strong and old name" to me its quite soft but dependable. I'd love to meet a boy Albert! :)

I like it and find it a friendly sort of name. I've met small Alberts and Berties and know of a 20ish Albert (American), so it doesn't seem particularly strange.

I think its a tad bit dorky but I can totally see hipsters taking it over and loving it. I think of it along the lines of Arthur or Rupert.
I like the nickname Bertie, but I couldn't be swayed to ever use Albert because of the inevitable Al nickname. Would I be okay seeing it on someone else's kid? Absolutely.
