I know! At one time, I believe Lisa and Jennifer were #1 in every single state (Jennifer for several years). As I said earlier, while I wasn't surprised by the stats, I was rather amazed to see the trajectory of a name's popularity shoot across the country.

ETA that I read once that after the 1990 US Census, Jennifer was officially added to the list of top 10 female names. That's A LOT of Jennifers born since the 60s, 70s and 80s!
