Pretty. I actually do really like Amethyst as a name. I don't know, it just seems very stunning and melodic. Almost airy, if that makes any sense. It's strange, since I normally find names like this (Crystal, Diamond, Emerald, etc.) to be clunky-sounding and just generally very unappealing as formal names. Amethyst, however, is...different. Almost breathtaking in its beauty. I don't know, maybe I'll feel differently this time next week (my name taste can fluctuate), but as of right now, I find it unexplainably gorgeous.

As for the combo, Amethyst May is sweet, and the nickname Amee is spunky and quirky. Nice. I do find the idea of making the gem thing a theme not much to my liking, as I find it somewhat tacky, but it's workable, I suppose. Overall, the name is a good one, in my opinion. Of course, though, she's nine; the name's susceptible to be greatly altered in the near future.
