Re: opinions on these girls names long list plz answer
Adrian(n)a: Very pretty.
Alexa: Seems annoying and babyish to me.
Alexandra: Used to like it, have grown to find it puffed-up and snotty.
Alexia: Always sounded like a medicine to me.
Angelina: Only Angel name I really like.
Angelica: Rug Rat name. It fit her perfectly.
Anika: Prissy.
Arian(n)a: Nice.
Ariane: Not as good as Ariana.
Ariel(le): Never liked it. Ariel reminds me of a TV aerial, and Arielle is too foo-foo.
Aurora: Hate the sound of it.
Beatrice: Stuffy and boring but BTN-ers seem to love it.
Bianca: Bonk bonk Bianca.
Bryony: Hate it. Hate it. Hate it.
Camilla: It's passable but prefer Camille.
Camille: It's decent.
Caroline: Whiny, downbeat.
Charlotte: Boring as a slice of day-old white bread with diet margarine on it.
Cordelia: Ugly.
Cressida: A Toyota.
Danielle: Nice, especially as a middle name.
Delphine: It's okay, but I think I slightly prefer Delfina.
Diana: Beautiful.
Dominique: Almost intimidatingly glamorous.
Elena: Nice.
Elizabeth: More effective than a sleeping pill.
Emily: I picture an obnoxious high school intellectual peering down her nose through her thick glasses and swishing her over-long hair around.
Emilia: Never liked, and I consider it pronounced the same as Amelia, which I also find dull and prissy.
Emma: Just an ugly mumble.
Eugenie: Silly.
Gemma: Tacky. Prefer Jenna.
Genevieve: Some bejeweled and fur-draped old woman striding around town with her nasty little dog in her purse.
Georgia: Dowdy.
Grace: Nice, a bit overused as a middle name.
Hazel: As far as old-lady-names-that-have-gotten-fashionable, it's more bearable than Ella or Charlotte.
Isabel(le): Overfed and overdressed.
Isabella: Even more so.
Jacqueline: Very nice. I also like Jaclyn.
Jade: A bit tacky but goes well as a middle name.
Jasmine: Pretty.
Jemma: Even tackier than Gemma.
Jennifer: Never liked it, I think it's the fer ending.
Joanna: It's okay.
Josephine: Ranks right up with Charlotte for boring, dowdy names.
Julia: Charlotte's sister.
Julian(n)a: Alexandra's sister.
Juliet(te): Too foo foo. Never liked many ette names. Julie is cute.
Justine: Cool in the same way Dominique is.
Kate: Blah. Everybody knows at least a few Kates. It's got more spunk than Katie but that's not saying much.
Lara: Don't like. Laura is nice.
Larissa: I never met one, but for some strange reason the name Larissa reminds me of body odor.
Leah: Nice.
Lily: Cutesy-poo name for a little adopted Chinese girl who owns three dozen princess costumes and throws an imperial fit if she's not allowed to wear them every day.
Lucinda: Can't picture it on a real, non-cartoon person.
Maya: Cute. Much more spirit to it than Mia.
Mil(l)a: Does nothing for me.
Miranda: Emily's best friend who has the same thick glasses, hair like a bright red Brillo pad, and horrible acne.
Nadia: Snotty Nadia.
Naomi: Pretty.
Natalie: Very nice.
Natalia: Not so much.
Nicola: Don't like. Don't like Nicole either.
Ophelia: Oh feel ya.
Rachel: Not a favorite but it's pretty much timeless.
Rebecca: Love it.
Rosalind: Rosa or Rose is much lighter and more lively.
Samara: Don't like. Never sure how to pronounce it.
Sara(h): The baby's born, and we still haven't got a name for her! Quick, let's name her Sarah.
Sophia: It's okay.
Talia: Don't like, hard to say.
Tess: Like a servan'ts name.
Tessa: Sounds like baby talk.
Veronica: Fun name.
