When I was a schoolgirl we got a Siamese cat with evil, beautiful, slanting blue eyes. She was a most virtuous animal but she looked wicked, and I wanted to give her a wicked name. But she was pedigreed and "had to" have a name starting with L. So I named her Lucinda and called her Cindy - well, it had sin in it. So I like the name, and the advantage of Lucinda is the possibility of Lucy if Cindy doesn't work - and vice versa.
