Eisley?
what are your thoughts on it? there is an indie band that my family knew from well before they were famous and today they posted this post on Facebook saying they were noticing a lot of little girls named Eisley and they were so honored if the reason was because of the band. Then they had like over 200+ comments of people sharing they had or knew a kid named Eisley going back about 15 years in some cases. So BtNer's WDYT?

The first thing I thought of when I saw the name was Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum's daughter, Eisele, which is pronounced the same, and a family last name, if I remember correctly.

Doesn't anyone remember Mos Eisley, from Star Wars? The Tatooine spaceport? Yeah, most kids named this are either children of rabid Star Wars fans or their parents thought they made it up. I doubt it's after this band in most cases.

I think the band was originally named Mos Eisley after Star Wars, but they dropped the "Mos."

Yeah, Mos Eisley is totally the first thing I think of. I'm not a rabid Star Wars fan (don't really like sci fi) but my brother was and still is a bit, so I remember. It's a kind of random Star Wars association to pick though... I thought maybe it was supposed to be a variation on Aisley.

Dislike and looks eerily similar to "paisley" which I tremendously and utterly hate.
I'm assuming Eisley is said as Eye-slee. in that case, you may as well name the child IcyThere's better names out there sorry!

I agree it just feels and looks awkward.
