I've always preferred Juliet - it seems lighter and more relaxed and cheerful than the more stiff and snobbish Julia. And I agree that Abby and Julie are a good pair.
Juliet Laura would be my choice. Or Juliet Mary, rather than May. Juliet Miriam could also work. Juliet Theodora? Juliet Beatrice? (I don't think the initials could possibly be a problem.) Or Juliet Dinah?
