I like Lucienne. I don't think it'd be too difficult for English-speakers and if it is, everyone can say Lucie. Actually, my bigger concern would be that she'd spend half her life correcting people who spelled her nickname Lucy.
Elyse is too close to Elle, yeah, and I really dislike the Y spelling.

Thanks! Elyse is my middle name and thats why we considered it. Glad to hear you like Lucienne. I prefer Lucie to Lucy. More French :)
